Mission Statement

Animaté Voice Studio for Children exists to bring the
healthy study of Voice to children, through appreciation
of each child’s own unique gift, understanding of basic
music fundamentals, and respect for others voices.  We
act as a preparatory school for ensemble groups or
further voice study, and maintain good working
relationships with quality performing groups in the
community.  We hope to increase the amount and level
of singing in children while fiercely maintaining each
child’s joy and love of music.
Vision Statement:

Empowering children to
sing their very best,
joyfully and accurately,
encouraging them to use
their voice to bring the
gift of music to the
world.
Core Values:

Respect the individual:  People have different levels of natural ability but all have the same need to be
“seen” and “heard” for who they are.  We will respect each person as a unique gift to the world and
encourage all participants, student, fellow student and parents alike to do the same.

Clear Vocal Technique: The human body is an instrument. As thus, it needs to be “played” in a certain
way.  We will teach natural vocal production calling out the individual voice through understanding the
breath, registers of the voice, resonance, and rules of language in singing.

Solid Music Education:  Singers from Animaté Voice Studio will be musicians, understanding the basic
music fundamentals of Pitch, Rhythm, and Tone Quality allowing them to move comfortably in the music
world however they choose.

Community Roots: We will pursue and maintain good working relationships with local performing
groups encouraging quality expression of the gift students have and the skill they are learning.

A little about the classes!

Classes are designed for the aspiring solo or small group
singer!
AVSfC is a a place where kids can learn to sing! It's
not a choir, or a theater troupe but we do sing together
sometimes and act a little bit too! We develop our
understanding of the language of music in general and
singing technique in particular! Classes are small so I can
spend time with each child!  We learn songs together and
individually in preparation for performance for family and
friends in Recital and later in church or theater auditions,
or other advanced singing opportunities! I encourage
embracing uniqueness and care for each other!  The kids in
class are friends with their classmates and with me too!
